EPA's Proposed Clean Power Plan: Cutting Carbon Pollution from Power Plants

Our August meeting will focus on EPA's recently proposed Carbon rule (Clean Power Plan) which regulates carbon emissions from coal-fired power plants. Jeremy Tarr, J.D. - Nicholas Institute for Environmental Policy Solutions at Duke University will provide an overview of the proposed rule, followed by a panel including Jeremy Tarr, Dr. Robert Bruck (Natural Science Center, Inc.) and Kelly Martin (from Sierra Club's Beyond Coal Campaign). Come find out more about these vitally important rules, why they are needed, what are the issues, and how you can comment and influence the decision-making process. Doors open at 6:30 pm with program starting at 7 pm. Light refreshments after the program.
