The Sierra Club is America's oldest, largest, and most influential grassroots environmental organization. Inspired by nature, we are 2.4 million of your friends and neighbors, working together to protect our communities and the planet.
The Capital Group Sierra Club focuses on exploring, enjoying and protecting our local region. We invite you to join us at one of our interesting monthly meetings featuring prominent "green" speakers, for an outing or at a conservation or political meeting or event. Whether you wish to join us for a one time event or get more involved, we welcome you. If there is an activity you'd like to add, or if you have talents you'd be willing to share – please contact the leaders. We welcome new ideas!
We believe in partnering with like-minded organizations – and so please feel free to co-list our events. (Please include any event requests & guidelines.)
One of the Sierra Club's abiding missions is to engage the public. Sierra Club membership is not required or expected to join this Meet-up group or to join our posted activities. If you are interested in becoming a member, you can join by clicking here.
However, if you're interested in getting more involved, there are many opportunities to volunteer within the group. Please contact our Co-Chairs Adam James or Chelsea Barnes if you're interested in volunteer opportunities.
