Green on Green: Hot Topics and Cool Locations in Arizona

When does green get greener? When the Sierra Club descends upon "green restaurant" for its monthly program!

Join us and meet the leaders of the Palo Verde Group for a casual get-together where we'll discuss hot topics and cool locations in Arizona.

"Green" describes itself as "New American Vegetarian" and they serve comfort foods that are strictly vegetarian.

Their $8 Faux BBQ Chicken Sandwich was voted by PETA as the Best in the U.S., and their new menu boasts the Big Whack, Green's own delicious and popular version of the Big Mac.

A personal favorite is their mock chicken, mushroom and garlic "greenza" (pizza) and "hot buffalo wings."

After dinner, grab a vegan desert at Nami, right next door to green. Nami is home to the tSoynami, Green's own vegan version of the Blizzard. They also have vegan coffee drinks, baked goods and gluten free options.

Green is located on 7th Street north of McDowell, right around the corner from our regular monthly meeting place at the Quality Inn. Most meals are under $10 and most deserts at Nami are under $5.

Great choice for dinner, Mike. BTW, Green is on 7th Street, not 7th Avenue. You have it right at the header, but mistaken in the text.
