Tampa Bay June General Meeting: Lets EXPLORE "Odes, The Dragonflies of Florida"

Did you know that the larval stage of large dragonflies may last as long as five years? Dragonflies spend most of their lives in the larval stage in water as nymphs and spend only the last 5 - 6 months of their lifespans as winged creatures. No wonder they seem to enjoy flying so much and are so good at it! Come and learn more about these fascinating creatures that are counted as one of the fastest flying insects on earth.

New Location: Seminole Heights Public Library, 4711 Central Ave. Tampa (just south of Hillsborough Ave. and west of I-275, corner of W Osborne Ave.)
5:30 pm Growth Mgmt Committee
6:30 pm Social Time and New Member Orientation
7:00 pm Speaker: Dan Irizarry, Nature Photographer

Dan Irizarry, a well known Nature Photographer, Birder from the Tampa Bay area has tremendious knowledge and experience of these beautiful creatures. His pictures are just not worth missing. It is going to be a treat to have Dan share his knowledge of dragonflies and pictures with us.

I just became a Sierra Club member online! Is the 630p new member orientation for people like me or is it for a different function? Thanks, thought I would ask :-)
