Newcomer Hike - Edgewood Park - 4 miles

This is a wonderful, easy hike in the gentle rolling hills between Redwood City and Woodside. The hike is 4.1 miles with 300 feet of elevation gain. There are usually deer, many different birds, and possibly a bunny or two. We DO stop and break at all trail junctions. Please bring sturdy shoes, water, a snack if you need it, and layers of clothing.

Following the hike, at about 12:00, lunch is an option at Sancho's, a good Mexican place nearby.

THIS IS NOT THE MAIN ENTRANCE TO EDGEWOOD NOR THE PARK & RIDE. There will be many bicyclists parking in the area. Find a spot and find us near the small Edgewood Preserve sign on Edgewood Road just east of Canada Road. If you have any questions please contact the leader.

Heavy rain cancels. Event covers 4.1 miles, with 300 feet of elevation.
Meeting location: Edgewood Rd & Canada Rd, Woodside
Leader: Jeff Browning, 650/[masked], [masked]

Thanks, Jeff. I will come earlier on Sunday. I am afraid if I drive to the park by myself, I can not find the park entrance. I had such experience before.

CARPOOL FROM LOS GATEO AREA WANTED Here is a good carpool meeting place, Carrie, but I don't know who might be coming from that area. From Highway 17 Exit onto Saratoga Ave./Hwy. 9 west in Los Gatos. Go past first light (University), then take first driveway into parking lot. There will be a red sign at entrance that says :"Free Unlimited Parking" Meet near Saratoga Av. end of lot.
