Mid Week Conditioning Hike on National Walking Day

Today is American Heart Association's National Walking Day, so why not join us, the Loma Prieta Sierra Singles, on the first hike of our weekly Wednesday treks, with this fast paced jaunt along the trail beside Canada Rd in Redwood City. We wll meet at 6:15pm at the corner of Canada and Edgewood Roads in Redwood City, just west of 280. We will briskly follow the trail north that goes along Canada Road with views of valleys, maybe wildlife, the Pulgas Water Temple and the Crystal Springs Reservoir. We will go out about 3 miles, turn around and hike back. With relatively light automobile traffic, as more bicycles ride along Canada Rd, it is a nice way to ease into the hiking season without the limit of a sunset time. This hike will take about 2 hours, so bring a flashlight for the return, if you can, as it may be dark for the last ½ hour.

Our LPSS group will be there, although not listed as attending on this meetup, so expect several others too! All are welcome!
Please, this trail is posted no dogs.
Heavy rain cancels.

Wed 4/3 Meet at 6:15pm at the stone pillars on either side of the Phleger state entrance.
