Please join us, the Loma Prieta Sierra Singles, on this 10 mile hike with 1600 feet of elevation gain is an intermediate hike. Wunderlich County Park is a hillside area of redwood forests, open meadows and beautiful oaks and madrones and wildflowers will be blooming. When we reach Skyline we will cross the road and see the new parking lot at El Corte de Madera Open Space Preserve and have lunch. Folks from Sierra Singles will be on the hike, and not signed up on this meetup.
BRING: water, lunch, layers, sunscreen and maybe something to sit on during our lunch break. Some people don't like sitting on the ground. Try to carpool as the Wunderlich parking lot is small.
9 am for self carpool at Carpool #8, Homestead Square parking lot.
From 280 exit Saratoga/Sunnyvale Rd (De Anza Blvd.) towards Sunnyvale (north).Turn left on Homestead (first traffic light), then left into the shopping center. Park & meet near Carl's Jr.
9:10 am at Carpool #7, Edgewood Park 'N Ride Lot. Northeast corner of Edgewood and 280. Coming South on 280 exit Edgewood Road: Stay in left lane of off ramp. Turn left at Edgewood. Go under freeway and turn left into Parking Lot. Coming North on 280: exit Edgewood Road. Stay in right lane when exiting. Turn right onto Edgewood and be prepared to make an immediate left into parking lot.
Event covers 10 miles, with 1600 feet of elevation.
Meeting location: Wunderlich Park, Woodside or either Park and Ride.
