Sat Aug 24th Nashville Meets The Outback: Picnic/Concert 5 – 7:30 pm
Menlo Park Blue Rock House Concerts are back! These have always been popular and the last two were sellouts. This backyard setting is a great way to become intimate with the featured musicians, especially fun if you've never been to one of these before. This concert is set in the back yard of an award-winning private home, a futuristic Garden of-Eden with glowing blue crystal boulders. Blue Rock is a non smoking venue. Check out the location and find more details at www.bluerockhouseconcerts.com. Below find details taken directly from the Blue Rock website:
“Blue Rock is thrilled to host both 8 Ball Aitken and Alice Wallace…new performers to this venue, but no strangers to stages all over the United States, Australia, and beyond. We’re in for a treat—-great musicianship, compelling story-telling, foot-stomping energy, and some plain old down-to-earth humanity.
8 Ball Aitken (http://www.8ballaitken.com/) is like a redneck preacher at the shotgun wedding between country and blues.
Alice Wallace (http://www.alicewallacemusic.com/) gives a nod, at times, to blues and rock, but her music is undeniably folk at heart.”
Bring: (1) $25/person to pay the performers (2) your picnic dinner (3) A towel, blanket, or lawn chair to sit on and (4) friends, the more the merrier (teens welcome, but no children)
I encourage you to arrive between 5 & 5:15 pm to secure a good seat for the performance and socialize. The concert will start at 5:30 pm.
Please go to http://bluerockhouseconcerts.com/outdoor-template/ to get your reservation and additional information for the concert. The address where the concert will take place is on the website. Then, please email me at [masked] so I’ll know to expect you. We will probably be seated separately as we will arrive at different times but come find me to say “hello”. Please email the host if you decide to cancel as your entry fee pays the musicians. Event leader: Jack Borok
