Mid Week Hike - Pulgas Ridge OSP

Join the Loma Prieta Sierra Singles on Wednesday 9/4 at 6:15pm for a fast-paced, mid-week conditioning hike at Pulgas Ridge with an optional dinner stop after about t Sancho's Taqueria. This hike is about 4-5 miles, with a steady elevation gain of 500 feet. This is not a hike for beginners, as we will be moving at a brisk and steady pace, with only brief stops at trail junctions.

Bring water and layers--the ridge can be windy. A small headlamp or flashlight is recommended, as the way back down is in the oak trees which are cool and shaded.

Directions:: From Highway 280, exit Edgewood Road. Travel 0.75 miles northeast on Edgewood Road toward Redwood City. Turn left (north) on Crestview Drive, then immediately turn left on Edmonds Road. Follow Edmonds Road to the preserve entrance on the right.

Rain cancels. Event covers 4-5 miles, with 500 feet of elevation.

Meeting location: Main parking lot @ Pulgas Ridge
Leader: Denise Vann, [masked],[masked]

I probably should not go on these Wed night hikes because I usually can't keep up and to do so, I need to run.

Just realized I don't have my hiking shoes nor headlamp! Would I be able to do this hike with running shoes?

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
