Mission Peak Hike 2C

We will meet at the Stanford Ave parking lot at 5:30pm for this strenuous and fast paced conditioning hike. We will follow a loop by going up via the Horse Heaven Trail and returning via the main route, Peak Trail to Hidden ValleyTrail. We should be back at the parking lot around 8:30 p.m. This event covers 6+ miles and 2,300 ft of cumulative elevation gain, and is not a beginner hike. Mission Peak is very unpredictable at the top, so dress in layers, and a consider bringing a warm drink to enjoy while taking in
the view from the top.  It will be dark when we return, so bring a flashlight.

To get there, from Hwy 680 take Exit 12 for Mission Blvd. East. Merge onto
Mission Blvd. Turn right onto Stanford Ave. Stanford Ave dead ends at the
parking lot. The parking lot is often full, and you may need to park up to
1/4 mile from the trailhead. As a courtesy to your fellow hikers,
please arrive early, and allow time to find a parking space.

This sounds awesome but because it's a weekday, hard to get out of work in time. Would anyone be interested in doing this on a weekend sometime?

Good idea. I will probably do that later in the fall, after Thursday nite hikes are over for the season.

I work weekends, so if you do it on a weekend, for me to attend, it would still have to be at night..

I love everything about this, the hike, the time, the date. That said, I run and bike all the time. Thats what i do to put a strain on my body. I would rather my hikes be more relaxed. When you guys do this hike again, but slow it down some, i will be all over it!! Thanks for the opportunity though.
