Sheep Camp to Temple Veteran's Day Hike

If the name of this hike, which is also listed with Loma Prieta Sierra Singles, is confusing then you probably haven't been on this pleasant out-and-back 7.25 mile hike in Belmont & San Carlos. Expect approximately 900' of elevation gain over the course of this fairly mild exposed route.

Bring water, sturdy footwear, sun protection, layers for possible cool breezes and a snack or lunch to enjoy at Pulgas Water Temple.

Meet at the Edgewood Park `n Ride lot at the NE corner of the Edgewood Rd and I280 intersection at 10:30 am for a very short drive/carpool to our starting point.

Rain cancels.

Thanks for your interest in this hike. If you have decided not to participate please change your status on the Meetup page as soon as possible so that someone on the waiting list will have the opportunity to plan to participate. It would also be helpful if those of you on the waiting list who have made other plans would change your status, too.

Today's weather forecast says there is a 20 percent chance of rain for Monday but I don't anticipate that this will affect the hike. If you have concerns about the weather, please call or email me before 9:30 am on Monday. This hike is also co-listed with Loma Prieta Sierra Singles. If you are a current Sierra Club member, send me an email and I'll respond with some "insider information."

    Thank you and Happy Trails!!!

    Marilyn
