If doing more volunteer work was on your list of New Year's resolutions, it's not too late to get started. On Saturday, February 22 you can help build the next section of an all new hiker-friendly trail to the top of San Mateo's scenic Sugarloaf Mountain.
To join the Trail Center for their fifth workday on this project, contact Marilyn Stockdale Green, [masked],[masked] for project details and directions on where to meet.
The workday begins at 8:30 am and will end at about 2:30 pm with a tailgate party in the company of a great group of other volunteers.
Bring water, sunscreen, sturdy shoes, lunch and normal precautions against poison oak exposure (work gloves, long sleeved shirts and long pants). The Trail Center provides tools, training and gloves (if you don't have them).
Heavy rain cancels.
