Mission Peak Hike, Fremont, CA 2C

We will meet at the Stanford Ave parking lot at 5:45 p.m. for this strenuous and
fast paced, conditioning hike.  We will follow a loop by going up via the Horse
Heaven Trail and returning via the main route, Peak Trail to Hidden Valley
Trail.  We should be back at the parking lot before 8: 30 p.m.  This event
covers 6+ miles and 2,300 ft of cumulative elevation gain.

Bring sturdy boots, hiking poles, a hat, layered clothing (Mission Peak can be
very unpredictable), a flashlight or head lamp, and a snack. (A thermos with a
hot drink would add lots of comfort while enjoying the spectacular views from the top.)

To get there, from Hwy 680 take Exit 12 for Mission Blvd. East.  Merge onto
Mission Blvd.  Turn right onto Stanford Ave.  Stanford Ave. dead ends at the
parking lot.  If the parking lot is full, as it often is, make a U-turn and find
street parking.

This event is co-listed with the Black Mountain Hiking Section.
Rain cancels.
