Post-feast Calorie Burning Hike, Wunderlich to Skyline

This 10 mile hike with 2000 feet of elevation gain will be a great way to burn off calories after a day of Thanksgiving feasting but it is not a hike for beginners. Wunderlich County Park is a hillside area of redwood forests, open meadows and beautiful oaks and madrones. When we reach Skyline we will cross the road to have lunch with a view in El Corte de Madera Open Space Preserve.
BRING: water, lunch, layers, sunscreen and maybe something to sit on during our lunch break. Although it's not tick season some people don't like sitting on the ground any time of year -- and it could be damp.
Rain cancels.   Leader: Marilyn Stockdale Green, [masked],[masked]
MEET: Please make every effort to carpool. The parking lot at Wunderlich is very small and is often filled by groups who don't (carpool).   Carpool locations:
  • 9 am for self carpool at Carpool #8, Homestead Square parking lot. From 280 exit Saratoga/Sunnyvale Rd (De Anza Blvd.) towards Sunnyvale (north).Turn left on Homestead (first traffic light), then left into the shopping center. Park & meet near Carl's Jr.
  • 9:10 am at Carpool #7, Edgewood Park 'N Ride Lot. Northeast corner of Edgewood and 280. Coming South on 280 exit Edgewood Road: Stay in left lane of off ramp. Turn left at Edgewood. Go under freeway and turn left into Parking Lot. Coming North on 280: exit Edgewood Road. Stay in right lane when exiting. Turn right onto Edgewood and be prepared to make an immediate left into parking lot.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
