Easy River Walk

Location to Meet:  corner of Washington and Riverside:

Take: I80 West, exit 12 (Keystone) and go left, go left on W 1st, take the third right onto Washington.  Park at the end of the street.

Time: 5:30

Distance is approx. 4 1/2 miles round trip on a paved path.

Rating: Easy

Join us for this every Monday warm-up hike.  It is easy and on a paved path.  Bring your dinner and we will stop at the halfway mark, in a park with picnic benches (Crissie Caughlin) and restrooms (hopefully they will be open this week) to have our dinner.  Then we will hike back. Bring hat and gloves and jacket.  It may get cool toward the evening.

Dogs on leashes okay, children, strollers, young people pushing old people in wheelchairs, tennis shoes okay. Bring water and a headlamp because we will probably be returning after dark.  This is an easy stroll and a good warm-up hike for your week.

If you wish to donate a buck toward offsetting the expenses of First Aid/CPR training of Sierra Club hike leaders, it will be appreciated.

See you there for fun and friendship!

Wish I could. If I lived in Reno the time would be great. I live in Gardnerville so it won't work for me. Look forward doing some hikes with this group though.

Kathy, Given where you live, there's a little Ft. Churchill hike this Saturday under the Sierra Social Meetup (several regulars live in Gardnerville).

Strange, I signed up for this a couple of days ago, and see my signup disappeared. I resigned up with a Plus1 just now. Hopefully this disappearance won't happen again. Looking forward to Monday night.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
