Monthly Meeting - Photographer Craig Fucile The Practice of Seeing

Copyright  (c) 2014 Craig Fucile, all rights reserved.

Craig Fucile is a veteran photographer and educator. He credits early Camera Committee membership as being crucial to his involvement in photography. It was here that he learned skills from accomplished photographers and began a lifelong pursuit of expressing personal experience through photography. For Craig, “been there, done that” doesn’t apply. It is repeated visits to favorite places that can deepen our appreciation of what makes a place special. This can lead to new insights and the discovery of potential photographs not noticed on prior visits.

For this program, Craig shares his color and black & white photographs from places that continue to interest and inspire: California Desert, Eastern Sierra Nevada, Oregon Coast and closer locations. Throughout, he’ll highlight the importance of photographs to the photographer and the viewer and offer observations from his many years as a photography workshop instructor.

Enjoyed hearing Craig's perspective on visualizing your shots. Always be on the lookout for a lovely photo is a good habit to have!

Hi! I'm looking forward to tomorrow's meet up. Since I'm new, I must ask some questions...should I bring my camera? Anything else I should bring with me?

Hello Carmen. Welcome. Our monthly meetings are usually presentations with a Q&A period, so cameras are optional unless specifically mentioned in the meetup description.
