Monthly Meeting - The Anasazi Project

Don Kirby and Joan Gentry will present The Anasazi Project, a photography project of over 20 years (and continuing). Copies of their 2012 book The Anasazi project will be available.

The Ancestral Pueblo cliff dwellings in the Four Corners region sheltered and protected this energetic people (originally called the Anasazi) towards the end of their 1500-year (200BC to 1300 AD) presence in the region. Sited high on canyon walls in spectacular alcoves, the ruins seem to radiate the energy and mystery of this vanished people.

Eat and Greet: SCCC Members are invited to a pre-meeting dinner with Don & Joan at 6:00 p.m. at Jin Jiang, 11057 Santa Monica Blvd., one block east of Sepulveda Blvd., phone[masked]-7171.

Great informal presentation by Don. Too bad he couldn't tell us exactly where the images were made, but I guess that adds to the intrigue. I'm glad I was able to buy the book.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
