Kayak under the 563 Bridge from Haycock launch on Lake Nockamixon

Two weeks ago I went to this launch area where the Steam Boats set off and we went under the bridge to the left of the launch.  This is the bridge (563) that goes over the lake at the north end.  We saw amazing water fowl, turtles basking on the logs and beautiful homes to photograph.  Bring your camera.

This is not a marathon boating event but a nice paddle to view the scenery and when coming back the sun setting at 8:20pm.

Your own Kayak, PFD, paddle, whistle and water.   We can go for ice cream after at OWOWCOW if you want after the paddle .  This ice cream shop is very popular with the paddle groups.  Great fresh home made ice cream.  This is one mile from Haycock on 412 and 563.

Please know that this is not a professionally guided kayaking event and you cannot hold the organizers responsible for any accidents or injuries.  We will help where we can but there are no medical personnel on this event.  You should be able to swim and you must wear your PFD at all times.  Lake rules.

I will send my cell number to those who are coming. I will be leaving my home by 5pm Wednesday so call if you change your mind.  I don't have a smart phone with me.

Last night was a beautiful night on the lake. We saw allot of those Blue Herrons out there looking for dinner. We saw some guys diving off the 563 bridge while we were going under. I couldn't get the shot. We also saw a deer in the water along the edge of the woods too. Its a beautiful little area to see. Many folks having picnics and night fishing with their kids. Great place to visit.
