To bring together fellow environmental activists friends in Portland, we are launching a monthly social get together hosted by Bull Feeney’s Pub at 375 Fore St in the Old Port. Our first gathering is from 6pm to 7:30pm on Thursday, April 10th. We’ve reserved the Yeats Room on the second floor. This is a fun and informal opportunity to meet like-minded progressive people who live and work in Portland. Beverages and food will be available for purchase, but also just feel free to drop in after work to say hello.
City Councilor Jon Hinck will stop by and say a few words about some policy ideas to make Portland a greener place. Chapter Director Glen Brand will be there to give a brief update on the status of the proposed plastic bag fee and styrofoam ban ordinances, which we expect to go to the full Council in May and to discuss plans for a big anti-Keystone Rally at the end of the month.
RSVP and we hope to see you (and your green friends) at Bull Feeney’s!
