Okefenokee swamp boat tour and hike

On Saturday May 2 at 10:00 am, have a spectacular day exploring and learning about the Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge. First, we will take a 90 minute guided boat tour of the swamp and after lunch (bring) we will take a 3 ˝ mile hike on woodland trails, visit a historic “swamper” homestead, and walk the boardwalk to a 50 foot high viewing stand.
We will meet at the Eastern Entrance near Folkston, GA at the Visitor Center.
The boat tour is $16.00 for 12 and up. Children under 12 $10.00. We might get a discount.

To everyone who wants to carpool. There are a bunch of you who want to carpool from Ponte Vedra and a couple from St. Augustine and other places in JAX. Can you go to the profiles of these people and then send them an email and see if you can arrange something directly. I didn't realize that you have this option on Meet-up but I think it makes sense.
I'm sorry I'm such a dits at using this website but hopefully I'll catch on.

We are so grateful to them for taking the time and making the effort to create a delightful day full of all sorts of wonderful things: a boat ride and tour through the Okefenokee along a historic canal, picnic in pretty spot, visit to amazing Chesser Homestead complete with colorful -- and authentic! -- tour guide, and a 3 mile hike to a 4-storey lookout. Fabulous agenda beautifully carried out. Bravo and many thanks, Shelly & Mark! It couldn't have been better. Loved ever minute. We're looking forward to going again and taking visiting relatives.
