On Thursday, February 28 the 14th Annual Northeast Florida Environmental Summit will be held at Florida Coastal School of Law and co-hosted by Jacksonville University. Location: Florida Coastal School of Law (8787 Baypine Rd., Jacksonville, FL 32256) Room 550.
This year’s Environmental Summit, titled “Brokering Solutions: Science and Economics in Environmental Policy,” explores the challenges and opportunities for addressing climate change, fisheries management, and other issues in a variety of political settings.
The event features a Keynote Presentation by Eric C. Schwaab, Assistant Administrator for Fisheries & Acting Assistant Secretary for Conservation and Management with US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (the agency overseeing fisheries management throughout the United States) over a lunch that is provided to registered attendees.
The Environmental Summit will also feature a panel focusing specifically on climate change issues in Jacksonville, as well as a number of nationally-recognized experts leading interdisciplinary discussions on current environmental issues at the intersection of science, economics, and policy.
