We will host Mark Woods, columnist for the Times Union. In 2012, Mark was awarded the Eugene C. Pulliam Fellowship by the Society of Professional Journalists. This award allowed him to take a year-long sabbatical to our national parks to research the question: Given that 2016 is the centennial of the National Parks system, what is the future of our parks?
From Acadia National Park in Maine, westward to Haleakala National Park in Hawaii, Mark traveled and focused on one park a month. He discovered one issue in particular that is common to all parks for their future.
Come hear Mark and enjoy his photography of our country’s legacy.
