Beach Cleanup and Splash Down

Not a Sierra Club event, but a great opportunity to do a little clean up and help the Timucuan Trail Parks Foundation!

Join us at Little Talbot Island State Park for a morning of good clean fun on Saturday July 20, 2013. We will meet at 8am at the North Beach Parking Area to sign in and grab gloves and trash bags. Then, we'll hit the sunny shoreline for a couple of hours of beach clean up, removing litter to keep our beaches clean and safe for visitors and wildlife.

Afterwards, stick around to enjoy the beach. Shelling, swimming and sun bathing are featured in addition to several beach games, including Bocce Ball and Badminton. Make sure to bring sunscreen, bug spray, water, snacks and a towel for the event!

This will be my first Sierra Club outing. I'll be bringing my 3- and 5-year-old. We'll see how long they last.

I'm sure it would be OK. Remember, this is not my event (and I won't even be going). You could always check with the Timucuan Trail Parks Foundation to make sure.
