St. Johns River Celebration Clean-Up

Help us participate in a city-wide cleanup of the St. Johns River and its tributaries.

We will be cleaning up two boat ramp areas and Julington Creek. Meet at Palmetto Leaves Park (13799 Old St Augustine Rd. across from the Bartram Park Shopping Center) at 8:00 a.m.

Some will stay and clean up that area; others will drive to the Hood Landing boat ramp to clean up that area.

We need kayakers to sweep Julington Creek between these two points to clean up any trash in the creek. All kayakers meet initially at Palmetto Leaves Park.

Trash bags provided. Bring gloves and trash grabber (if you have one). Kayakers must wear PFD.

Uh-Oh! Rain! We'll still meet at 8 am and clean up the boat ramp/park areas as long as there is no lightening. Bring your ponchos!
For those with canoes/kayaks - bring them. We'll go on the water if it isn't raining and the weather looks OK.

Bill, We don't have grabbers ( other than canoe paddles)-is there some place local that sells them ?

I do not, but can I get one at Walgreens or target?

Tracie - You won't need grabbers. I was asking Carr and Joy since they'll be on the water with me.

I have gloves from the city, so you won't need to bring your own.
I only need few on kayaks; everybody else will be cleaning up on land.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
