Join us on Sierra Club’s next “2nd Saturdays Outing” as part of Mayor Brown’s People+Parks Connection
Betz–Tiger Point Preserve. We're going onto the water (and we'll visit the upland site).
NOTE the early start time--so we can enjoy high tide. Sunrise will be at 6:45am EST.
Grab your paddling gear and put in at marshside in this fine part of the wonderful Timucuan Trail State and National Parks.
Details to come--check back here in March for more information.
If you'll need to borrow a boat, contact the trip organizer by Noon Tuesday 5-March--there may be a modest rental cost if enough suitable extra boats are not available from Sierra Club friends.
April’s “2nd Saturday Outing” with Mayor Brown’s People+Parks Connection will be at Tillie K. Fowler Regional Park. Hopefully we can visit its nature center, if it's open that morning.
These Sierra Club outings were announced with Mayor Alvin Brown at the end of June as part of an effort to get residents out to hike new and improved park trails, launch kayaks from newly designated sites and swim safely in Jacksonville pools, rivers and beaches.
