Laugh & Learn - We are all Zin'ers!

Join your fellow Zin'ers for a blind tasting of Zinfandels from various areas, including the Sierra Foothills, Lodi, Dry Creek, Paso Robles, and a couple of surprises. Can you tell the difference? Even if you can't - it is fun to try.

As usual, the tasting is $15 for 10 wines, but the payment method is changing (see comment below). Also, as usual, feel free to bring an appetizer/dish to share.

Great fun event. Sure was harder than I thought to pick out the AVA's, and very surprised at my #1 pick!

Great tasting event Wayne! Thank you! Nice to meet new people. I will bring something good to eat next time....my schedule wouldn't allow this time. Thanks to those of you who did bring food:) Yum! And such delicious wine choices!

My GPS is saying about 40 minutes, but I'm hoping traffic doesn't change that. Save my glasses for me please

From Roseville is it better to take hazel to 50, or Auburn Folsom Rd this time of day?

Can I bring a guest tonight?

    • Wayne P.

Sure. At this point, just bring the $15 pp fee and pay to me, so I can pay Total Wine for everyone.

Just a reminder to bring a dish to share, if possible (not mandatory). Also, some of those planning to attend have not yet paid in advance. If you cannot pay in advance, please bring the $15 tasting fee to the event and pay to me (not Total Wine). I will make the payment for everyone.

Note that we are at the required minimum needed for private room events at Total Wine. If you have not paid in advance and are a no-show, this could result in having to pay Total Wine for your spot, even if you are not there. Please be courteous and honor your RSVP so we don't have to make advance payment a requirement for future events.

    Thanks

My understanding with Total Wine is that there is a minimum number of people required for a private wine tasting event. So If one was to pay the fee and then the event is canceled; what is the refund policy or could it be kept as a credit? THANKS!

    • Wayne P.

As stated in the refund policy, if the event is cancelled, all payments will be immediately refunded.

For the last Laugh & Learn - Tour of Italy, we had 37 RSVPs, which was fantastic. Unfortunately, 60% of those signing up chose to either cancel right before the event, or not show up at all. This resulted in many problems with setting the room up, wasted printing, wasted food, and even (God forbid) wasted wine. We simply cannot continue to provide custom-planned events, exclusive for this group, with this number of cancellations/no shows.

Therefore, we are instituting a pre-payment policy for Laugh & Learn. Please pay your $15 either by the PayPal system on this site, or call me at (916)[masked] to pay by credit card. I will then make the payment of $15 pp to Total Wine (and absorb the transaction fees), so you will not have to pay at the cash register.

I forgot to mention that you can also pay for your spot at Laugh & Learn when we are at the Cellar earlier in the month.
