Description: April is for waterfalls. Join us for a wonderful and exciting hike in Silver Falls State Park, one of Oregon’s beautiful gems. We will take a 5.2 mile loop through forested canyons and visit eight waterfalls, five of them over 100 feet high. Forest wildflowers will be in bloom, and the trail leads underneath two of the falls, so bring a rain jacket!
Distance: About 5 miles (loop)
Elevation Gain: 400ft.
Preparation: Wear sturdy, mud-resistant hiking shoes or boots, and bring rain gear and warm layers of clothing. Bring plenty of water, your lunch and snacks.
Dog Policy: In accordance with National Sierra Club policy, dogs, other than certified assistance dogs, are allowed only at designated dog events. This outing is not a designated dog outing.
