Hike to Montecito's Hot Springs via Saddle Rock

Hike to Montecito's Hot Springs past Saddle Rock, up to the Peace Sign with panoramic views of Montecito, and then down to the Hot Springs.

There isn't enough water for bathing at the spring, but the ruins of an early 20th century resort makes for an interesting destination.

We'll return via the recently opened creek route. Moderate 3 mile round trip with a few steep sections.

Bring a snack and plenty of water. Meet behind B of A on upper State St. at Hope Ave. at 9am.

I can't make this hike due to an unforeseen work obligation--I hope everyone has fun!

The trailhead is on East Mountain Drive less than 1/4 mile form Hot Springs Road. Take Hot Springs Rd all the way up to East Mountain, turn left and you will see the trailhead on the right. It is a little confusing since the sign reads Cold Spring Trail 2 - McNenemy Trail. I should arrive with the car poolers at about 9:30 AM
