Hike the Cold Spring Trail - (Middle Fork route)

We'll take the infrequently hiked and somewhat primitive Middle Fork trail above Tangerine Falls, past an abandoned homestead and continue up to Camino Cielo. Then we will return via the usual Cold Spring Trail past Montecito Peak and back down to the Cold Spring Trailhead. We should have some great views of both the Back Country from Camino Cielo and of Santa Barbara on most of the return.

This is a strenuous almost 10 mile round trip. For experienced hikers in good condition this will be a fun hike, for inexperienced hikers this is not a good hike to experience the Cold Spring Trail.

Bring lunch and at least 3 liters of water. There are some steep sections, and it is a long way to hike on a warm or hot day, so only experienced hikers please.

We will carpool from Meet behind B of A on upper State St. at Hope Ave. at 8am. Or you can meet us at the Cold Spring Trailhead on E Mountain Drive at 8:30 AM

For more information please contact hike leader STEPHEN[masked]
