Great weather, section, pace, people, safety briefing and nutty photos and desserts at Mirandas. Leader Evan stopped for water breaks every 30 minutes or so and checked how everyone was doing and the speed. Some said maybe a little faster so he sped a little. He mentioned that faster riders could go to the front and ride with him, so a few did. On the way back, I was in the back sweeping (not sleeping!) LOL. Looking forward to another ride on another section this fall, before the winter hits. Maybe another 25-30 mile section like Morrow-Corwin (more trees, Corwin Pedaler ice cream), Corwin-Xenia (more open) or Bass Island-Loveland in the fall would be colorful.

Evan; you did a great job organizing this bike ride. Your pace was very good, your trail talk was well done with emphasis on keeping the group together and with safety in mind. You attracted 6 attendees from meetup, which is great, with the possibility of increasing the Sierra club member base. I enjoyed riding with the entire group, and especially meeting all of you that attended thru meetup. Hope to ride with you again. Check " miamigroup.org" for events, including monthly meetings (Innings) and meetup.com. I had a great time.

My bike rack does not fit my new car. I traded the Honda Element for a Honda Civic EX. I will see what type rack I should buy.

Hello, Unfortunately for me i am not able to go. The reason why is good; an unexpected visit from family. Glad to see my family!!! But REALLY want to connect with this group. I will try for the next rider.

Hey Janet, this wouldnt post under your question, so Im posting it here. There is Oakley Cycles nearby but dont know how good they are. As an mechanical engineer, I usually fix things myself. Whats wrong with it. Usually nothing that a crescent wrench cant adjust. Or a hammer! LOL. Ill bring both on Sun. Gonna be a gorgeous day for a casual social ride. Cya then.

Thank you Danny! I ended up taking it to Smitty's off of 50.. Oakley is closer to me, but I heard a lot of good things about Smitty's. I had popped tube and needed a new tire. So, I have revealed I am not able to fix much of anything. : (

Evan, I RSVP'd already for myself on to go on the bike trip on Sunday. I know that there are no more spots left on this trip, and this is last minute, but would I be able to bring my husband along? This is my first time joining the group and I didn't know how to add a person to the RSVP. Thanks!

If anybody decides they can't go let me know. I finally have my bike and it should be repaired by the 15th. Any suggestions on where to take my bike to be repaired. I live in the Mt. Lookout area.

    Hi Kathy,

Yes, I think you will be able to keep up with the pace fine since it is casual/moderate pace with rest stops off the side of the trail in addition to the Morrow Center area.
There will be options as well. Thanks.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
