Kayaking from Riverbend Park to J.D.S.P.

Another simple plan:

We are going to launch at Riverbend and end the trip at J.D. (8.5 miles, about five hours) We'll stop at Trapper Nelson Historic Site for lunch. We will leave a trailer and some cars at J.D. to shuttle the kayaks and ourselves back to Riverbend park, we'll plan about that later.

As always....bring bug repellent, a hat, sunglasses, water, snacks and an adventurous spirit.

Kayaks can be rented at Riverbend Park. I think it cost about $60.00 with shuttle service included. Just the shuttle service will cost the same as if you were renting a kayak with the shuttling service included...might as well buy the whole package.

Remember: Meeting time is at 8:15 A.M. My guess is that we will start paddling around 9:00 AM..

Changes:

Members that have their own kayaks: Let's meet at the launching area in Rivebend Park, we'll leave the kayaks there with  another member, then we head out to JD, leave your cars there and then we ride back to riverbend with other members.

Membes tha will rent Kayaks: Just go straight to Riverbend and get your kayaks, 8:30 AM would be a good time'

Bett, Boris and Angie: please meet me at the Kayak rental office in JD, at 8:15 AM.

See you there.

At Riverbend Park, private owned kayaks launch at Picnic Island. People who rent, launch from behind Canoe Outfitters. I will be at the launch at Picnic Island at 7:30 AM

Hi guys. is time to do an inventory:

Hi Armando - above you say to buy the whole package, kayak and shuttle. In your comment below, you say we are shuttling ourselves.
If I bring my own kayak, do I need to buy shuttle service ? Will there be enough vehicles with carrying capability to handle all the kayaks ?

    March 4, 2014

    • Armando

Hi Harold. No, you don't have to buy anything, I will shuttle your kayak for you.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
