Monthly Silicon Beach Brisbane Community News

Hi All

We have a substantial and growing start-up community with membership numbers soon to pass the 750 mark. Supporting our eco-system is critical to our ongoing development and part of this, is celebrating the successes and showcasing news & developments of the start-up businesses in our community.

We want to see your start-ups taking positive strides forward and once a month we will provide a showcase mail to all SBB (Silicon Beach Brisbane) members with major news and developments that you would liked shared with your community. For those that missed Monday night’s event with Tyler Crowley, one clear message that I took away from the evening was that sharing information & success stories breeds further passion, investment and development of the eco-system, so let’s do more of this as a community.

If you would like to announce any major news about your start-up, like funding news, launch news, receiving grants, acquisitions etc, then send your announcements to me via our meetup site by the 10th of the month and we will broadcast a monthly SBB community message out on or around the 15th Month.

For example we should be shouting from the rooftops some recent press regarding original Brisbane based start-up We Are Hunted that were acquired by Twitter. See

This month, we would like to announce another amazing start-up in our eco-system ( ) who have launched a major Kickstarter campaign for the first game by TabletTop Interactive. This is a brief video clip showing gameplay is here:

Their Campaign on Kickstarter can be seen here:

So what can you do for TabletTop as a SBB community member? They need viral marketing assistance to get the Kickstarter campaign out to the broader community, so perhaps you can push to your Social Media connections on Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn etc their Campaign on Kickstarter – The Google shortened URL to announce is:

If anyone has any suggestions for a name for the Monthly News Broadcast for our SBB Community then send me your suggestions.
