Hope you are all well and once again - thank you for joining Silicon Stilettos! I want to keep the volume of emails to our mailing list to a bare minimum and will soon create a discussion group, so we can keep in touch outside email.

I have two pieces of fantastic news!

1. We have a sponsor for our first meet-up. Lawyers extraordinaires, Danvers and Barry of Winston&Strawn are putting £500 behind the bar. So we can have a cocktail or two on them.

2. Mike Butcher of TechCrunch and Petra Johansson, who's one of Silicon Stilettos and helping him organising events across Europe are keen to have more women involved in the tech/start-up scene. That's why they would like to offer all Silicon Stilettos special offers to TechCrunch events, which will (most of the time) be free for us. Hurray!

The first event we can advantage of is LateCrunch, the official ‘after party’ of the Web 2.0 Expo in Berlin on 23 October. Mike and Petra have set aside 50 tickets a special priority code for our members to reserve. Tickets usually goes very fast, so this way we at least have tickets guaranteed.
