Tell us a little about your interest and history with cars and open source. There are no wrong answers, so feel no pressure!

First car which I've driven was FSO Polonez Caro, which none of you will probably know! No electronics whatsoever probably, but my arm, palms and shoulders got much stronger due to lack of steering wheel feedback. I hated cars till I got a nice, red BMW 318is for $3k, where 0.4% of stuff was supported by electronics. Driving something with more than 3 lines of software sounds "interesting" to me, so I want to understand how it's approached.

Introduction

Polish immigrant with software skills; hardware wannabe with couple of PCBs crafted already. Open source fan; FreeBSD user. Idea of open-source automotive solutions sounds scary.
