Shannon King, Associate, Sheppard Mullin Richter & Hampton LLP.
Shannon S. King is an attorney in the Intellectual Property Practice Group in Sheppard Mullin’s San Francisco and Century City offices. Ms. King specializes in intellectual property, including counseling and enforcement of brands and other intellectual property assets and complex litigation of trademark and trade dress infringement, dilution, copyright infringement, and unfair competition matters. She has experience registering domestic and international trademarks, copyrights and domain names, assisting clients with DMCA and domain name disputes, conducting trademark and advertising clearances, and drafting trademark search opinions. Her experience in transactional matters includes negotiating and preparing a wide variety of intellectual property agreements and conducting intellectual property diligence. She has overseen worldwide policing programs for clients in the entertainment, media, consumer retail and travel & tourism industries. Ms. King received her J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley - Boalt Hall, and her B.A. from Yale University. Vishaal Melwani, CEO and Creative Director, CombatGent. Before becoming the CEO and Creative Director at CombatGent, Vishaal spent many years drudging through the depths of the “rag-trade”. His dynamic family businesses, which owned and operated boutiques from such high-end designers as Versace and Cavalli, were instrumental in Vishaal’s evolution in fashion. Vishaal delved deep into the intricacies of the world of couture, refining his expertise in all aspects of the business from supply chain to the cutting and sewing of a single garment. Needless to say, Vishaal is no stranger to the fashion world.
