Meeting 18: Time Series and Recommendations

Please join us for meeting #18 where we will be discussing one more time series paper and one about recommendations.

1) "Functional clustering algorithm for the analysis of dynamic network data" by S. Feldt, J. Waddell, V. L. Hetrick, J. D. Berke, and M Żochowski (U. Michigan) from Phys Rev E, 2009.

2) "Matrix Completion with Noise" by Emmanuel J. Candes and Yaniv Plan (Stanford/Caltech) from IEEE, 2010.

Please read the papers before the meetup but if you don't get a chance, feel free to come join the discussion anyway.

Past papers are listed in the message board here.

Post new paper suggestions here.

It was mentioned, that a preemptive application of corrective electric impulse could stop the seizure. We wondered, in a lighter vein, on potential effects of incorrect predictions. Well, this is what can happen: :)
