We have the same question. We only want to collect anonymous usage data. Is that allowed?

thanks,

Hi Joshua,

Our main use case is collecting anonymous usage data to improve the app. We want to do this the simplest possible way (i.e. without forcing the parents to go through licenses, without having to retain an ID and delete the user data upon request ,etc.).

What's allowed and how?

thanks,

Eran

Hi all,

We're very excited to have the FTC here on Monday to answer your questions about COPPA.

If you have particular questions or topics you'd like to hear about, please send them to me in advance. Our guest is open to talking about whatever is most relevant to you, and the more advance notice we can give her the better.

Thanks, and hope to see you Monday!

Josh
