Introduction

I'm fairly new to the area, having moved here last summer with my husband and then-3-week-old son. In a past life I was a business analyst, but with our relocation I became a full-time mom. I miss my workshop, my tools, and having the time to create!

What do you enjoy making / what media do you currently enjoy playing with?

I'm a dabbler; I love trying new things. I especially enjoy working with my hands, and I dabble in cabinetmaking, stained glass, textiles (sewing and weaving), and general lifehacking.

What projects (if any) are you working on/envisioning right now?

I'm designing a "busy box" for my son to play with. It will incorporate latches, zippers, clips, laces, buttons and other things he can manipulate.

What new skills would you like to learn from your maker peers? Do you have any skills that you would be willing to share with the group?

I would love to learn to work metal, and I'd also like to learn more about electronics. Although I'm not a specialist in anything, I'm always happy to share what I know.
