Our children are our teachers. Family Meditation Day is a day where we can cultivate those relationships, welcoming children as part of our sangha, and giving them the space to be themselves.
Family Meditation Day is designed to be a time where children and adults can practice together but also engage in their own separate practices. We will offer a children's program while the adult sit is going on, which will involve mindfulness activities, stories, songs, meditation practice and instruction, games and play time, art projects, and simply the space for the children to engage in and create their own sense of community with each other. We will begin and end the morning with adults and children
together in the large shrine room.
Parents are encouraged to bring their children or grandchildren to take part in this opportunity.
This event is free and open to the public, but donations are requested for supplies for the program.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
