Big Data has been defined as increasing volumes, velocities, and varieties of information. All three Vs (Volume, Velocity, and Variety) are relevant to cyber security use cases, which depend on analyzing massive streams of IP information in order to detect and defend against a wide range of threats. Applying Big Data to Cyber Security will result in new capabilities to defend information technology assets. The presentation will cover the compelling value proposition and how Big Data can fit into a typical data center's security methodology. This presentation will also cover technical details on the implementation of Big Data technology for Cyber Security and typical security architectures.
