Saturday Morning Co-Ed Touch Football and Soccer / Networking

Please note:  if it rains, we can still go to a cafe and network and socialize.

Football season is in full swing.....

Let's get together for a fun session of touch football, followed by light refreshments or lunch afterwards -- and networking.

You don't need to be a former varsity player or Heisman Trophy candidate (or powder puff football stand out) to come out and have a good time.

This is strictly for fun, and no previous experience is necessary.

This is touch football, not tackle, so no one should get hurt from participating.

We will also have a session of soccer (the other kind of football) to mix it up a bit.

What does success in football and soccer have in common with successful entrepreneurship?

1)  Teamwork

2)  Planning and strategizing

3)  Timing

4)  Execution

5)  Decision making

6)  Poise and confidence

7)  Grace under pressure

8)  Being able to bounce back from setbacks

9)  Good communication skills

10)  Toughness

11)  Tenacity

12)  Speed

13)  Concentration

14)  Social skills

15)  Dealing with adversity

16)  Vision

17)  Overcoming pain

18)  Getting over mistakes

19)  Focusing on details

20)  Winning

21)  Being able to fail and then improve and do better the next time

22)  Being able to deal with trash talk, criticism, and negativity -- still keep your head up

and more.......!

Wear comfortable clothes and shoes for athletic activity.

If you are out of shape or have any physical limitations, please consult a physician before coming out to participate.

After some time playing time, we'll head over to a nearby cafe or eatery for refreshments and/or food --  and socializing, networking and fellowship.

We might consider going to the Stanford football game at 3 pm or watching it on TV at the Graduate Community Center (750 Escondido Road, Stanford, CA).

Anyone going to the game afterwards? Would be fun to see the cardinals kick some ass!
