Here's a list of 13 topics; please vote for those which you are seriously planning to participate in. We will then decide which topic to take next after that, and will skip those that nobody's interested in
Formerly known as SVPG, this group started last century in Cupertino. See http://c2.com/cgi/wiki?SiliconValleyPattern... We meet every Tuesday at 7pm at Hobees and go through books, courses, etc related to technology, work process, etc. We have recently covered "Akka Concurrency", "Actors in Scala", "Java Concurrency in Practice", "Clean Code"... To participate, you are supposed to get the book we study or watch a lecture, come over, have dinner if you feel like it, and participate in the discussion. From time to time we have social meetings, and we decide what to study next. Sometimes we review a pre-published book, on a publisher request. The group and its co-founders, Tracy Bialik and Russ Rufer, has been acknowledged as reviewers in some books including "Java Concurrency in Practice", "Programming in Scala", and "Refactoring to Patterns".
