Friday Night Lights Drop-In Tennis - Sponsored by Tennis Town and Country

Post. Hire. Done.

Singles, doubles, drills....whatever you want to do, there's usually someone to play with you.

If the courts are full, we can always find some open courts at Stanford.

Enter the courts on the  far right.  We'll try and get the first few courts.  If those courts are taken, we'll get on any available court, including the courts closest to El Camino Real. Be proactive and introduce yourself to other players, get on a court, and organize yourselves.

Drop-in for singles, doubles, or just hitting and doing drills.

Most players who show up are usually pretty consistent, strong players.  Most players are 3.5 and up.

Though we have good players who are always trying to improve their skills, most attendees don't take themselves too seriously.

We'll try to match up players according to playing ability.   Players usually rotate after playing for awhile,  so you'll get to play different people.

This is a drop-in event where tennis players can get a good workout and meet other tennis players in a fun, non-competitive social environment.  Again, we do have some regulars who are very good players, though, if you are looking for a great hitting session!

Please bring some tennis balls.

Be proactive and go up and introduce yourself. Most players will be glad to have you rotate in if everyone is already playing.

Please be flexible, friendly, and have fun! See you at the courts!

Please RSVP "Yes"  only if you will be attending.  If  you RSVP "Yes" and find out later that you cannot make it, please adjust your RSVP response accordingly.

Rain cancels the event.

Sometimes we  head to Starbucks or Crepevine afterwards for socializing, networking, and fellowship.

TO BE FAIR AND TO MAKE SURE EVERYONE HAS AMPLE PLAYING TIME, PLEASE RSVP BEFORE COMING TO OUR MEETUP.  UNFORTUNATELY, WE HAVE LIMITED COURT SPACE.

BY THE SAME TOKEN, PLEASE REMEMBER TO UPDATE YOUR RSVP IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO ATTEND SO THOSE ON THE WAITING LIST CAN ATTEND.  THANKS, ALL!!

Hi everyone, I'm a beginner and have never played tennis before. Would it be possible if I join your tennis group? I'd like to learn :-)

Hi Ly! While everyone is welcome in the group, as a beginner or someone who has never played tennis before, I'm not sure if you'll enjoy playing with us. It might be better to find a person/group that could provide you with individual attention to improve your swing. I would refer you to some people, but I'm new to South Bay so I don't know. But feel free to check us out if you want to.

Hi Melissa, thank you for replying to my message. May I ask where did you and everyone else learn tennis? I'll probably take your advice and look for a beginner level class to join. Hopefully someday I'll be able to catch up with your group. If you heard anything, please let me know. I greatly appreciate it! Thank you so much and Happy New Year to you! Best, Ly

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
