Sunnyvale Community Services is an independent, nonprofit emergency assistance agency. They are working to prevent homelessness, hunger, and untreated medical problems for low-income families and seniors facing temporary crises. Each month, bags of food are packed for distribution to hundreds of low-income families and seniors.
We will be helping them out with this, with the goal of filling[masked] bags of groceries for their clients.
Please note that this activity requires the ability to lift up to 25lbs.
All volunteers must be at least 18 years old.
WHEN: Our shift is scheduled from 6:30pm-8:30pm, but we may finish a little earlier depending on how quickly we pack up the bags. They will be providing pizza for us during a break in the shift.
PARKING: Please make sure you park in their parking lot to avoid being towed away, and enter the building at the side entrance.
I look forward to seeing you all there!
