Volunteer at the FANS program at the JW house - Kaiser

Let's volunteer at the FANS (Family Activities that Nurture and Support) program at the JW house, Kaiser.  This is a great program that supports medically fragile children and their families who are not otherwise able to participate in extracurricular activities due to their health challenges.  They have a dance scheduled for April 12th and are looking for volunteers.  They need help with many roles listed below, but it would be great if we can go with an open mind to help with anything. They especially need help with cleanup (7:30 to 8:30 PM).

• Welcoming guests at the registration table.

• Heating Dinner items and transporting food from JW House to Kaiser meeting room.

• Keeping buffet tables neat and stocked with all necessary items. All items will be near tables.

• Help with clean up (7:30 to 8:30 PM).

Check out this link for more information about the FANS program -

Feel free to contact me if you have any questions - [masked] (or) [masked]

Location and Parking info:

The JW House address is 3850 Homestead Ave, Santa Clara, CA 95051.  When you enter the Kaiser Campus from Homestead and get to the end of the entrance way turn left and park in the first parking lot on your left.  Across the parking lot you will see two entrances. You want to go into the entrance that says Medical Office Building on your left.  Walk in that entrance and turn left. You will see a large Kaiser volunteer station there on the right, a hallway, and then further down is a pharmacy on the right. The meeting room number is in that narrow hallway, room A1, in between the Kaiser volunteer desk and the pharmacy. I will be wearing a black "Silicon Valley Volunteers" T-shirt and Holly will be wearing a JW House T-shirt.

Note: By RSVP’ing to this event, you are agreeing to Silicon Valley Volunteers’ waiver policy. Please go to your profile page and say “YES” to the waiver policy after going through it if you had not done so already.  Click on “My Profile” at the top right-hand corner to go to your profile and then click “Edit Profile” to agree to the waiver. Also, SVV events are only for adults 18 and over.

Hi Gracie, No need to pick or signup for any specific role. It would be great if we show up there and help out with whatever role they want us to help with.
