Volunteer at Kara's "Walk to Remember"

Friends,

Do you love being outdoors?  Do you love volunteering for a great cause?  Do you want a chance to do both in the same day?

Kara, a grief counseling organization supporting kids and adults is looking for volunteers for their upcoming "Walk To Remember"  for the following roles. I would request you to be open to any of these roles at the event, but feel free to let me know the roles you are interested in.

1. Cheerleaders for along the walk route (9am-11:30am) need lots of energetic souls… the more the merrier! This crew will station themselves around the route to cheer on the participants and assist with any needs along the way.

2. Water station support (9am-11:30am), need 4.  This crew will stay at the water station at the halfway point of the walk, to hand out drinks and cheer on walkers.

3. FunZone games attendants (10:00am-1:00pm), need 15-20.  This crew will run a variety of old-school carnival games such as a ring toss, cupcake walk, etc.

4. Clean up (noon-2pm), need as many as possible.  This crew is self explanatory.

The event is October 6, 2012 at Mitchell Park in Palo Alto. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions. [masked] or [masked]

Thanks,

Aravind

    Friends,

Hope to see you all tomorrow at 9 AM. When you get there, look for me - an Indian guy wearing a black SVV T-Shirt. Or look for our contact at Kara - Susan. They usually have a volunteer registration desk too. We will try and help them out with whatever their needs are tomorrow.

Feel free to contact me for anything - [masked] or [masked]. We can also go grab late lunch on Castro street if people are free and interested.

    See you tomorrow,

    Aravind
