IMPORTANT READ THIS: PLEASE BE COURTEOUS TO YOUR FELLOW MEETUP MEMBERS. Do not sign up unless you are very sure you can attend. If your plans change, take yourself off the list as soon as possible. No shows will be removed from this Meetup group... no exceptions, and I reserve the decision to put you on the Wait List if you have a history of cancelling in the last couple of days before events. This way we can depend on someone who will keep their commitment to have a chance to play. Please don't complain about my attendance policy in the notes below...unless you give us a firm date when you will definitely host Bunco and see for yourself what it's like to organize this game that needs an exact number to attend. Thank you!
For those on the Wait List, please do not sign up unless you are able to be a last minute replacement, meaning that you need to have access to email the day of the event and be checking it, so that you know if you were moved to the Attending List and are prepared to show up because inevitably there is someone who will cancel last minute. Thank you so much!!!
Bunco is an easy to learn fun dice game so don't worry if you don't know it, we'll teach you. Standards widely recognized are: There are six rounds, progressing in order from one to six, where the number of the round serves as the target for that round's rolls. Within a round, players alternate turns rolling three dice, aiming to obtain the target number. Players gain one point for each die matching the target. If the player gets three-of-a-kind of the target number (a Bunco), they get 21 points. The round stops when a player at a head table obtains 21 points.
The prizes are: (Amount will vary whether we play with 12, 16, or 20 people.)
• Most Buncos
• Most Wins
• Most Losses
• Last Bunco or Traveler
• Most Mini Buncos
• 50/50 (Even Wins and Losses)
• In the event of a tie (two people with the same number of Buncos, wins, and losses, etc.) we have a roll-off. Each person rolls the three dice, and we just add up the numbers and the highest number wins.
• One prize per person; if a person wins two categories, they will get the prize with the highest pay out.
Refunds are not offered for this Meetup.
