Simi Valley Gamers - Monthly Library Meeting Room Meetup

Hello Gamers,

This is the meetup that occurs every fourth Saturday (unless otherwise specified) at the Simi Valley Library Meeting Room.

What to bring?:

Games!

If you want to play a game, you better bring it!  Don't own it? Ask on the specific meetup you are attending for someone to bring it.  We can't guarentee it will be there, but if it is a popular game like Settlers of Catan, Battlestar Galactica, etc it most likely will be there.

Donations? (We'll see)

Donations are no longer needed for the meeting space as we have worked out an arrangement with the Simi Library and it will no longer cost us to host here under some conditions.  We may still take donations for future events such as mini-cons at a Simi Valley Hotel, tournaments, etc.  For now, don't sweat it, this will be updated if things change.  Also, thank you everyone in the past who has donated.  You made it possible to create such a great group and keep it going.

Snacks and Beverages

8 hours is quite a long time.  I would highly recommend bringing something along.   Make sure it isn't sticky, messy, or otherwise not going to mix will with paper/cards.  Can't think of what to bring? Water, water, and more water.   If you would like to donate snacks; please bring them along and set on an unoccupied table or give to Blake/Julia/Derek(Library guy).

For Lunch/Dinner:  There is quite a lot of fast food and dinner location around the area.  Parking is not a nightmare and there is always room at the library so do not worry about losing your spot. If you'd like some ideas ask around or check out the photo album for the Library on this website.  There should be a map with food locations.

Common Sense and Good Behavior

While we must remain open to the public, we have a zero tolerance policy for poor behavior, and anyone disrupting the event will be asked to leave.  No drugs or alcohol are allowed.  If you smoke, please smoke at a minimum of 10 feet away from the door while outside. Please be ready to embrace a "you break it, you buy it" type mentality.  If you damage someone's game you WILL be expected to replaced damaged parts/games.  If someone has brought snacks and has generously donated them to the group.  Please don't take excessive quantities to allow others the chance to get some too.

Got a question?

Send an email! I'll get back to you ASAP.

Public service announcement- IF YOU ARE SICK, PLEASE STAY HOME. We would love to see you and I'm sure you would love to game, but common courtesy is important. Some of us cannot afford to miss work or school or time with our loved ones or what have you and being sick just sort of sucks in general. We appreciate your future cooperation and understanding. Thanks!

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
