Since we just started kayaking, flatwater may be best for now, but with time the sky is the limit. Anywhere we can be outside and on the water is a place of interest to us.
I took a class in college which consisted of starting at the Virginia border and coming down the outer banks camping and kayaking along the way. Anything from lake matamuskeet the ICW from Beufort to cape lookout. Kim has only been on the river (neuse) once last week to try out our recent purchases. So far so good, no spills or concerns, just another way for us to enjoy the outdoors. So on the whole we would definitley be beginners.
Swimming is something that both of us can do well. Kim is definitely more of a fish than me. As far as safety is concerned, we wouldn't get on the water if we felt we could harm ourselves or others.
safety first... check not my mommy... check Have fun and learn, sounds like what we're looking for.
oh to be 18 again........ Sorry drifted off for a moment there, yes I am 33.
Hi my name is Josh Stroud and my girlfriend's name is Kim Aman. We are 30ish and just purchased kayaks 2 weeks ago. We love the outdoors, nature, and sharing them both with new friends. Just wanted to "meetup" and get to know you guys this weekend
