May I publicize this throughout LMA, Brookline, and Mission Hill?

I am new, how does it work? Where is this place to meet? This is true or just virtual talking instead of singing?
Just want to sit there, hum along with people's songs or sing louder when I feel like it.
Cast your vision o'er this species' total world.'til the banner of restored health is unfurled...
Can I get a songwriter, please, to score something that's totally relevant to our work...
Find your voices in the highest harmonies...As we work to end the burdens of disease...

I could sing about disease and interventions -about protocols and regulatory conventions.
I could sing the highest praises of research...and of the urban wildlife on our rooftops' highest perch.
Has this been disbanded? I haven't heard anything lately. Please don't give up. People will make due.

I can get the room(s) in LMA but with only computer and electricity but without the piano. Can this be established? Whatever we're singing should be hopeful and helpful.
Who's teaching this. Scott? Gary?I don't think that singing lessons is about composing music, as such. It's voice training.
Now there IS a singing group in nearby Mission Hill, but it's all-female, and it's somewhat ideological.
With that said, various choral groups exist in Boston, but they get caught up in their art rather than the singing, and I've observed that each group's participants really gets into the doing of what that group does and seems to forget themselves in that process, but are they learning singing (or just "doing group"?).

Would love to know when these are, if they are still happening! I'm not in longwood but close enough.
HELLO, EVERYONE!This group seems to be inactive, so I welcome you all to join my musical group, Beginner Singers, Songwriters, and Musicians, at http://www.meetup.com/Beginner-Singer-Songwriters/. The group is all about getting people together to work on music, songs, and singing. It's meant to be collaborative and fun! I hope you'll all consider joining us there.Best Regards,Gary

Let's see who IS in Longwood, not who is NOT in Longwood?

Longwood is too far for me to come during the week, but I'm willing to host at my house in Lexington if anyone wants to come there

Hope to learn how to create & sing songs about science
0 · August 20, 2012
I want to learn how to create songs & sing about my science discovery (ie. to mix the arts with science).
My goal is to inspire young people to fall in love with science through singing & creating songs.
Science can be fun just like singing & dancing.
Hi Thursday folks,This was orginally suggested by someone, but is not an "official" part of "my" meetup. If there is interest in an ongoing session, please contact me privately and we'll see what we can do.Whatever you do, keep on singing!Shihan Scott A.

You’ve always wanted to get up and sing in public. But you say, “My voice stinks! I can’t sing! I can’t get up in front of a group and do that!” In Nigeria they say, “If you can talk, you can sing.” Singing in public -- is not about being Sinatra, Streisand, Springsteen, or Stefani. -- is not about “going to Hollywood/Vegas/the next round” so that you can be exploited or disappointed. Singing in public is about letting go and enjoying expressing yourself. SingFree Sessions™ are a path to that growth that will push your envelope in a completely fun way. It is practice and insight on all levels (based on Carolyn Sloan's "Finding Your Voice") that encourage you to shatter the barriers to public self-presentation. We uphold the values of metta (fellowship) and mudita (joy in another's success). No contests! Have fun as you: • Learn to use your breath the right way. • Find, exercise, and use your voice. (Yes, even yours.) • Pick a song to sing. • Sing out and express yourself! There are no pre-requisites, except a desire to sing. Every session is the “first session”. About Scott: • Ed. M., Harvard Graduate School of Education. • Sang 8 years with a prominent Boston chorus, including performances with the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra. • Religious Leader, United Brothers Synagogue, Bristol, RI • Teacher of leaders of Jewish prayer • Ordained Minister, Church of Spiritual Humanism. • Student of karate-do, tai chi chu’an, and Kabbalah. • Taught hundreds of new technology users as a software trainer. • Non-judgmental, supportive, and encouraging instructor and coach. Join the group, and you'll easily find out about upcoming public SingFree Sessions. You can also arrange SingFree Sessions for private groups and corporate events.
